Went to the Half Moon in Putney last night primarily to see Badly Drawn Boy expecting him to be headlining but it was more of a collective experience.
I arrived about 7.45 to meet the Raynes Park posse – @nick_d_miller, Christine and Tim and didn’t rush in to see the support so only caught the last song which was a mistake. Not sure what the support was called – tall guy with a good voice from Leicester:) ….he was great.
After he finished everyone else shuffled onto the stage; Joe D’Urso, Guy Davis, Jesse Malin plus two women backing singers and the pianist whose name I didn’t catch (sorry!)
…after that it was just brilliant, everyone took it in turns to play a song or two. I was really impressed with everyone…it was a special night at ‘sarf London’s best venue for a truly worthwhile charity ‘Light and Day’ http://www.lightofday.org/
Big thank you to everyone who played and to the Half Moon for putting on the gig!
