I went to a MELSIG conference an Manchester at Easter and here is link to the presentations – http://melsig.shu.ac.uk/?page_id=467 . Their next event is on Social Media for Learning which will take place at Liverpool John Moores Uni on 3rd June – it’s already sold out but hopefully it will be streamed and I’m sure it’ll have a very active Twitter presence on the day.

MELSIG are organising to produce a new book on Smart Devices for Learning (#smart4L) and I’ve put in a proposal to make a contribution. I’m running a short online course here at Regent’s university London on using Twitter – the proposal will be a case study based on this experience.

here are some ‘rough and ready’ ideas about what i will reflect on:

  • Launching the course – workshop
  • Setting up the course – the 10DoT format
  • The tasks
  • Using a WordPress Blog
  • Motivation – making the course/experience more engaging – polls and competition
  • What went well
  • Problems and issues
  • What I would do differently next time
  • Other events/courses

…anyway this is just a start…the #RUL10DoT course is still running but its good to think about it now before the course ends…
