Recently I have moved to new job at London South Bank University and will not be doing a new version of #12AoC this year – like Glastonbury its good to have a fallow year once in while!
However, there are some great versions of the course being offered by other universties this year:
Limerick University in Ireland.
Education Technology User Group (ETUG) in British Columbia, Canada
Glasgow Calledonia University in Scotland.

Although I think the Glasgow version will be just for their staff only….
Also there is one for the lawyers, from the Law Society in Ireland:
School of Arts & Humanities at Nottingham Trent University:
Also check out this advent calendar from the OU:

Finally University of Brighton will be organising a ‘Burning of the Apps 2017‘ event on 20th December,
“The Burning of the Apps will be held on Wednesday the 20th December at Falmer – at the Explore Studio (Checkland D132). A day-long event, you are welcome to attend, drop-in-to or participate online from anywhere in the UK or world, for that matter. We will showcase the best of our current academic practice using apps, web applications and other technology to support learning and teaching.
We will again be live-streaming the interviews, from our various sites, of our talented academic staff. Discussing the ways they’ve utilised technology in their teaching to enhance learning at the University.
Stay tuned, and find us on Twitter at the hashtag: #brightlearn”
Please leave a comment if you know of any other versions happening this year…and Happy Christmas!

Thanks for mentioning our 12 Apps initiative Chris. Just a quick correction – it is an initiative from the Educational Technology User Group (ETUG – etug.ca) which is a grassroots group of educators from a number of different post-secondary institutions in BC.

Hi Chris, thanks for mentioning our 12 Apps of Christmas over here in BC. Second year running and suddenly lots of subscriptions from the UK. The effort is actually being organized under the auspices of BCcampus, an organization that supports post-secodnary education in BC (bccampus.ca).
