In the run up to next week’s UAL practice sharing event on 15th December we are running a little event on Twitter called the 12 Tweets of Christmas. This is open to anyone on Twitter who would like to join in the conversation. It will be of interest to anyone working in a University who has been involved in the move to online teaching spaces.

What is the #12TweetsUAL?
This event is a series of twelve Tweets that will run over 7 days from the 8th to 14th December 2021 that will focus on issues relating to ‘presence and belonging’ in digital education. During the Covid pandemic most teaching and learning did manage to move online in a very short space of time. However, the isolation and the loss of the informal social side of the student experience was keenly felt. Students have missed a sense of belonging in these online spaces and staff have found it difficult to reproduce the teacher presense in these spaces too. Each tweet will ask a question, contain a resource and we invite you to join the debate about this topic.
How to get involved:
You will need to sign up for a Twitter account to get involved.
Once you are logged in to Twitter, type in the chat’s hashtag (#12TweetsUAL) in the search bar on the top right hand side of Twitter:
